How We Work Together

Step 1: Free Conversation (20-30 minutes) - We discuss your situation, what's working, what's not, and whether this feels like a good fit. No pressure.
Step 2: In-Home Assessment (2-3 hours) - I come to your home to understand daily routines, review existing systems, and identify what needs organizing. This is collaborative - nothing happens without your input.
Step 3: Senior Life Master File™ Creation (1-2 weeks) - I build your custom system, organize materials, and prepare your binders, file box, and digital backup. You'll review drafts before finalization.
Step 4: Delivery & Family Walkthrough (1-2 hours) - I present the completed system, walk you (and family members, if desired) through how to use it, and answer all questions. Everyone leaves feeling confident.
Step 5: 30-Day Check-In - We reconnect to see how the system is working in real life and make any adjustments needed.
Step 6: Optional Ongoing Support - Some families choose regular check-ins for updates, companionship, and peace of mind. This is entirely optional and discussed based on your preferences.
Timeline: Most families complete Steps 1-4 within 3-4 weeks.

Why Nutrition Is Included

Nutrition plays a meaningful role in daily energy, mood, digestion, and overall stability.

As a Certified Holistic Health Coach, I help seniors and families organize nutrition in a practical, non-restrictive way — focusing on consistency, simplicity, and what works in real life.

This is not clinical dietary counseling, medical nutrition therapy, or meal planning. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

It is about supporting daily nourishment within the systems already in place.

About Me

Hi, I’m Margaret LeDane. I use a 'possibility-first' approach. We aren't just filing papers; we are clearing the path so you can focus on what you love, rather than the stress of what you might have forgotten.

I bring a background in health coaching, operations, and long-term life systems — shaped by decades of managing chronic health conditions and complex family responsibilities.

I understand how important it is to create systems that work when energy is limited and life feels harder than it should.

That perspective guides how I support seniors and families.

FAQs

How long does the full process take?
From our first conversation to final delivery, most families complete the setup in 3-4 weeks, depending on scheduling.

What if my parent is resistant to having someone organize their information?
This work is entirely collaborative and done at a comfortable pace. I never access anything without permission, and many seniors feel relief having support with what's become overwhelming. We can start with just one area and build trust from there.

Do you work directly with the senior, or with their adult children?
Ideally both, with the senior's consent. The senior remains in control of what information is shared and how. My role is to support, not take over.

What if information changes after the system is set up?
The system is designed to be easily updated. You can update it yourself (it's straightforward), or many families choose ongoing support so I handle updates as life changes.

Is this covered by insurance or Medicare?
No. This is a private-pay service focused on organization and life systems, not medical care.

What if we live out of state but want this for our parent in Annapolis?
That's very common. I work directly with your parent (with their permission) and keep you informed throughout. The digital backup gives you access to everything important, even from a distance.

Do you handle the actual moving or sorting if we're downsizing?
No, but I can create the organizational plan and refer you to trusted professionals (movers, estate sale companies, professional organizers) who handle the physical work. My focus is the information systems and life organization.

What makes this different from a professional organizer?
Professional organizers focus on physical spaces and belongings. I focus on life systems, daily routines, and essential information - plus I bring health coaching expertise for medication and nutrition support. The Senior Life Master File™ is about organizing LIFE, not just closets.

Can you help us even if my parent doesn't live alone?
Yes. Whether your parent lives independently, with a spouse, with family, or in a senior community, the Senior Life Master File™ creates clarity and organization for everyone involved. The system benefits anyone who needs to know where important information is kept.
