Organized Before It's Needed
A Complimentary Educational Workshop for Life, Medical & Estate Preparedness
When something unexpected happens, families shouldn’t be left searching.
Important information should be accessible in minutes — not months.
This educational workshop teaches seniors and their families how to create clarity, reduce stress, and prepare responsibly before it’s needed.

What Participants Will Gain
⭐ Medical Clarity
Complete a portable medication record during the session—a vital tool for ER visits or new doctor appointments.
⭐ Legal Awareness
Understand the role of essential documents and confirm they are in place and easy to locate when needed.
⭐ Financial Awareness
Identify accounts and centralize key information to help your family avoid unnecessary legal fees and 'detective work' later.
⭐ Trusted Decision-Makers
Ensure the right people know where information is stored and how to access it when necessary.
Workshop Structure
This is a high-engagement, practical session designed for the way we actually live. We move away from abstract concepts and focus on tangible results that you can hold in your hands.
🌟 45-Minute Structured Educational Session: A concise, respectful overview of the systems required to keep a household "shipshape" and ready for any transition.
🌟 Professionally Designed Take-Home Packet: Participants receive a curated "Starter Kit" featuring checklists for essential legal documents, monthly expenses, and financial assets.
🌟 Guided, Step-by-Step Medical Record Completion: We don't just talk about organization; we do it. We will work together to document medications, dosages, and pharmacy details in real-time.
This is a practical, actionable workshop—not a lecture.
Participants don't just leave with a "To-Do" list; they leave with their first essential tab, Medical, completed—ensuring that if an emergency happens tonight, information is ready for the first responders.
This Workshop Is For
✔️ Independent Seniors: For those who value their autonomy and want to ensure their "map" is ready, allowing them to live with the confidence that they are never a burden to their family. Seniors are welcome to bring an adult child or trusted family member.
✔️ Adult Children Supporting Aging Parents: For the "sandwich generation" who wants to move from being a "detective" to being a daughter or son again. Learn how to initiate the conversation and what specific information you need to have on hand.
✔️ Senior Living & Retirement Communities: For Life Enrichment Directors at places like Bay Woods, Brightview and Ginger Cove looking to provide high-value, practical education that solves a major source of resident anxiety.
✔️ Faith Communities & Civic Groups: For Annapolis-area churches, veterans' organizations, and social clubs looking to empower their members with actionable life-management tools.
✔️ Estate Planning & Financial Professionals: For attorneys and CPAs who want their clients to arrive "ducks in a row," making the formal estate planning process smoother, faster, and more cost-effective.
Clarity Reduces Stress
When information is scattered, anxiety grows. This workshop replaces "I think" with "I know."
By the end of the workshop, the fog of disorganization begins to lift and it's replaced by a sense of control.
✨ Where medical information is: Participants will have a central hub for their doctor contacts, preferred hospital, and supplement details so they aren't searching for numbers in a crisis.
✨ Who has power of attorney: They will clarify exactly who their primary decision-makers are and, more importantly, ensure those people know where their original legal documents are kept.
✨ What accounts exist: They will have a roadmap to identify checking, savings, brokerage, and even those "forgotten" accounts that often get lost in the shuffle.
✨ How medications are managed: They will complete a portable, accurate medication record that includes dosages, frequencies, and the conditions being treated—ready for any doctor’s visit.
✨ Where essential documents are stored: From the deed to their house and vehicle titles to their birth certificate and military discharge papers (DD-214), they will know exactly which shelf or safe-deposit box holds their life’s most important papers.
✨ How to manage the "Digital Ghost": They will leave with a plan for their logins and passwords, ensuring their digital legacy and online accounts don't become a locked door for their family.
The result? A profound sense of lightness. They aren't just organizing files; they are removing the future burden of "detective work".
About Margaret
Hi, I’m Margaret LeDane, a Document and Systems Organization Specialist dedicated to helping seniors and their families navigate life’s transitions with dignity and peace of mind.
My work is driven by a deep belief that organization is one of the greatest gifts we can give our loved ones. My background has provided me with a unique perspective on the intersection of healthcare and household management:
-
Compassion from the Bedside: Having worked in hospice care, and been through it with my mom, I have sat with many families during their most difficult days. I saw firsthand that having a clear "map" allowed families to focus on their loved ones rather than searching for paperwork. This experience taught me that the best time to organize is when life is calm.
-
A Focus on Systems: My experience in health coaching and operations allows me to take complex, overwhelming tasks and break them down into manageable, respectful steps. I understand how to build processes that work for seniors, ensuring that information is accessible when it’s needed most.
I am a long-time resident of the Annapolis area and am passionate about supporting our local senior community.
I curate a network of trusted local professionals—from senior movers to estate experts—to ensure that the families I work with have a full circle of support.
My goal for this workshop is simple: to provide you with the tools and clarity you need to feel confident and prepared for whatever the future may hold.
