Amazon Influencer Program: A Beginners Guide To No Face Videos & Content Monetization

So here's a cool way to do affiliate marketing...

...become an Amazon Influencer. It's super simple.

  1. Apply at Amazon to become an influence

  2. Make a spreadsheet of the Amazon products in your house

  3. Set up your Storefront like mine and follow the instructions for getting paid

  4. Make videos on Amazon products in your house (or products bought elsewhere but sold on Amazon) using your phone and a tripod

  5. Upload only 3 videos to your Amazon Storefront

  6. Wait until Amazon approves your 3 videos

  7. Upload more videos (the more the better)

  8. Make commissions when someone purchases the product after watching your video

Your videos never disappear so commissions will continue to roll in (possibly for years) as long as people click on your video and then make a purchase.

Apply At Amazon

Make A Spreadsheet Of The Products In Your House

The way to do this for free is to use products that you've already purchased from Amazon.

And then when you start to make some good commissions you can buy higher ticket products that have a ton of ratings and only 2-3 videos. You want an active product AND a place for your video next to the product.

Create a spreadsheet like mine below:

Set Up Your Storefront

Once approved, you will set up your Storefront. This is where you will upload your videos.

Here's a screenshot of my Storefront that I setup last week.

Notice that my URL is the name of my Facebook page. This is how I was approved for the program. You can be approved by using any social media account.

Make Faceless Videos (Or Face If You Want)

My videos are nothing fancy. You can do an uboxing or a review of the products that are in your house.

Make a tiny script by going to the product on Amazon, reading some of the questions people ask, and then making a 1-2 minute video answering the questions.

Here's an example of the 4 Moms Breeze Plus Playard that I just bought for my grandson.

I don't have a thumbnail for it yet and you can see that it's faceless and not fancy.

I'm sure I will get better at them but I wanted to get this one done because my grandson is coming tomorrow and then it's going home with him. I used this tripod and it worked well.

Upload 3 Videos

Your first 3 videos need to be approved by Amazon so upload 3 and then wait for approval before uploading a ton more.

Your videos will show as "Published" in your Amazon Creator Hub and there will be a message at the top that reads, "We will now review your videos for adherence to our best practices. If your videos meet the bar, they will be considered for additional Amazon placements and onsite commissions. This typically takes 2 business days."

Note: It can take 4 - 8 WEEKS for Amazon to approve your videos for onsite commissions so patience is a must.

Upload More Videos

Once Amazon approves your 'published' videos for onsite commissions, then upload a ton more because volume is how you are going to make money.

Even if a commission is $1, if 100 people buy through your link on say Black Friday, then you could make $100 that day on just one product. Math matters.

And remember that the only way to become an expert at something is to practice so don't worry about your videos being so so in the beginning. No one starts anything as an expert - just think about Olympic athletes - they practice their sport 6-8 hours per day!

So once your videos are doing well then go ahead and buy some higher priced items for review because one $200 commission would be kind of cool.
